Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Masters Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Must be eligible for licensing with the Prince Edward Island of College of OTs
- Hold a valid driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation
Job Responsibilities
- Apply Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills to evaluate a client’s condition and needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help client’s address and meet specific goals for physical and mental impairments or conditions
- Assessment of a client’s home/work environment and recommend adaptations to fulfill needs
- Collaborate with client’s on implementation and progression of treatment plan
- Administer and report on Functional Capacity Evaluations, Functional Scans, Job Site Analysis, Post offer employment offers, etc.
- Communicate, consult and collaborate with other health care professionals of the multidisciplinary team in the implementation of a treatment plan.
- Establish connections and relationships with third party vendors, payers and local referral sources
- Develop and lead training sessions/seminars for clients, staff and/or community events
