How To Join

 

You have two ways to join us for in-studio classes

You can pre-register for a 6 Week Series or join us for drop ins. Joining us for the 6 Week Series offers you a discounted rate and guarantees you a spot each week. Whereas, drop ins allow you the flexibility to come to class when your schedule allows or to try a new one!

6 WEEK SERIES

1. 6 Week Series

Our first Fall Series registration is now open. This series starts the week of September 9th. Register below to commit to 6 weeks of wellness!

*If you are hoping to join, but can’t make it to the first class of the series, don’t worry, you can still join! You can start a class at any point during the series! Contact us in Stratford at (902) 370-2327 to learn more about the discounts we offer in this scenario!

Can’t commit to 6 weeks? Drop ins are available for all classes within the 6 Week Series!

*If you are hoping to drop into a class, please contact us in Stratford at (902) 370-2327 beforehand! This helps us ensure the class limit hasn’t been reached and gives us the opportunity to let you know if the class has been cancelled due to illness, weather, etc.

Wellness Classes

 

Fall Wellness Series: September 9th – October 20th

CHAIR YOGA

Monday & Wednesday | 10:30AM – 11:30AM | Allison St. Pierre

This class uses seated and standing poses to help improve overall mobility and strength within the body. It involves modified poses that are done while sitting on a chair or using a chair for support. This makes yoga accessible to individuals with mobility issues, those recovering from injury, older adults, or anyone looking for a gentler practice.

 

MONDAY   WEDNESDAY

YIN YOGA

Monday | 7:15PM – 8:15PM | Leah Classen

A slower practice where we focus on the appropriate tension working with a cooler body, holding for time (3-5 mins) and seeking stillness in the body and mind. A great class to work on joints and fascia of the body while practicing concentration, meditation, and mindfulness as we slow down our yoga practice. A great way to ease into the week! Most of this class will be practiced on the mat in either seated, kneeling or supine postures.

SWEAT & SCULPT

Tuesday | 12:15PM – 1:00PM | Keely Turner

Sweat & Sculpt combines strength and cardio intervals for a full-body burn. This dynamic class uses bodyweight movements and light dumbbells to improve cardiovascular health, promote muscle growth and burn fat. Get faster, stronger and more agile with safe and effective movement taught by Keely Turner, a certified trainer with over 10 years of experience. Sweat & Sculpt is easily modified so you can participate reagrdless of your fitness level. Let’s get sweaty!

YANG (HATHA) YOGA

Wednesday | 6:30PM – 7:30PM | Leah Classen

A more active, traditional, hatha yoga practice where we focus on alignment, breath with movement and work on balance. This class will help raise the heart rate slowly, warming up the muscles safely while also getting to lengthen them. You will move through a standing series then onto the mat for back/core work and finally some relaxing stretches before savasana. Great way to move and let go of the mid-week stagnant energy that may be weighing you down!

HIP & KNEE WELLNESS

Friday | 10:30AM – 11:30AM | Allison St. Pierre

A 6 week therapeutic exercise program that will help those struggling with hip and knee pain caused by arthritis, joint replacements or de-conditioning.

FIT/YOGA

Saturday | 10:00AM – 11:00AM | Leah Classen

A non-impact class (sometimes using light weights or body weight) meant to prepare you for the day, get the blood pumping and build some muscle. Full body workout with many options for accessibility. This class will consist of roughly 40 mins fitness with 20 mins yoga stretch at the end. Leave feeling ready to face a busy Saturday!

PILATES

Saturday | 11:30AM – 12:30PM | Allison St. Pierre

Pilates is a safe and effective method of rehabilitation and exercise that focuses on muscular balance, improves strength and flexibility. Pilates is excellent for improving posture, strengthening core muscle groups, reducing loser back pain and more! This class is excellent for beginners as we will be starting with low impact restorative exercises first and building to more challenging poses as the weeks progress. This class is taught by Manual Osteopath, Allison St. Pierre, who has seven years experience treating chronic pain cases. Using her experience with group class and one on one treatments, Allison plans to cater this program to the needs of each student and progress everyone at a pace that will be appropriate for them!

THE GLA:D PROGRAM

Tuesday & Thursday | 3:00PM – 4:00PM | Daniel Muise

GLA:D Canada is an 7-week evidence-based program focusing on education and exercise to address knee and hip pain related to osteoarthritis.

The program is made up of 3 parts:
1️⃣ Education sessions focusing on information related to osteoarthritis, self management strategies, and the benefits of exercise for hip and knee pain related to osteoarthritis.
2️⃣ 6-week in-person group exercise session 2 times per week.
3️⃣ Data collection for quality monitoring which entails 3 questionnaires to be done at your first visit, 3 months following your first visit, and 12 months following your first visit.
